March 11, 2010 – COLCHESTER, CONN. – S&S is launching a new line of pink physical education products, available May 15, that include a basketball, flying disc and playground balls. A donation will support the NBCF and its mission to spread knowledge and foster hope in the fight against breast cancer.
“We will find a cure, but until we do, we need organizations like the National Breast Cancer Foundation to provide preventative services and help give women the hope they need to win this monumental battle,” said S&S Co-President Hy Schwartz. “We should never underestimate hope. It’s what gives women fighting breast cancer the hope and support they need to recover.”
S&S® Worldwide, a family-owned company for more than 100 years, believes in giving back on a local and national level. While its primary business is improving the social fabric with products that help people to play and learn, S&S proudly leads community efforts like cleaning up the town green in its hometown of Colchester, raising awareness of the obesity epidemic and supporting national groups like YMCAs, NASPE, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and now, the NBCF.
“Breast cancer touches so many people. These are our friends, families, neighbors and our customers,” said Co-President Adam Schwartz. “We must all come together to defeat this dreadful disease. The valiant efforts of the NBCF help save lives and we’re proud to support them.”
The new pink products will be co-branded with S&S’s Gator Skin® or Spectrum™ names, as well as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® logo.
