November 14, 2018 – Over the last decade, SABRE, the global leader in consumer safety and law enforcement products, has raised more than $1.7 million for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). A mission-driven organization and proud partner of NBCF, SABRE works hard to empower people to enjoy a safer lifestyle. The proceeds have helped launch the National Mammography Program which has provided almost 300,000 screening and diagnostic services to women in need.

“As an organization that strives to keep all people safe, we are honored to partner with National Breast Cancer Foundation to help in the fight against breast cancer and to give women the treatment and preventive care they need,” said SABRE CEO David Nance. “Whether it’s keeping people safe with personal security devices or providing support for preventative measures to combat breast cancer, it’s our shared mission with NBCF we value that goes well beyond a month-long partnership.”

SABRE’s support of the foundation extends into special events throughout the year, but more recently lent its support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, in conjunction with College Fashion Week, SABRE partnered with Her Campus to simultaneously raise awareness about personal safety and breast cancer. SABRE’s sponsorship at both the New York and Boston events included samples of its Drink Test Kit and personal alarm products. Event attendees were also encouraged to share photos from the events on their social profiles using awareness-raising hashtags (#SafeisSmart and #SABRExCFW).

Additionally, SABRE’s month-long Partners for Protection campaign in October was created to advocate for women’s health and well-being. The campaign celebrated those who provide physical and emotional support, while also serving as a reminder that SABRE products empower, and provide peace of mind to, individuals when its needed most. Everyone who posted a picture tagged with #Partner4Protection was entered to win a special edition partner pepper spray pack, and $1 was donated in their name to NBCF by SABRE.

SABRE’s year-long efforts include proceeds from the sales of their pink NBCF line of pepper sprays and personal alarms. Between January and October of 2018, SABRE has donated $155,000 to the foundation with more than $20,000 of the total coming from October sales, campaigns and special events. SABRE has plans to continue the partnership and develop additional products for the cause in the years to come.

“We are so thankful for the generous partnership of SABRE over the last ten years,” said Janelle Hail, NBCF Founder and CEO. “Their year-round support of our mission through their pink pepper spray and their October Partners for Protection campaign enable us to provide our life-saving programs to women affected by breast cancer across the country.”
