Receiving a breast cancer diagnosis can be a very frightening and overwhelming experience for the patient. They have many questions, many doctors, many appointments, and often do not know where to start. The Breast Nurse Navigator is here to provide assistance and guidance throughout the process. They help facilitate scheduling and treatment plans to ensure they occur in a timely manner. The Navigator is also a source of education, information, resources, and emotional support when the patient needs it the most.
“As an Operations Manager for McLaren Medical Group I find the nurse navigator program to be indispensable. Not only does this program help our providers by navigating the patients closely, but it also helps the patients with the support that is detrimental to their care.” — Tina Wrinkle, Manager Clinic Operations, McLaren Breast Care Clinic
Donations are always appreciated, but there are lots of great ways to get involved.
